IEEE ODTÜ Computer Society Technical Subunit

The IEEE ODTÜ Computer Society Technical Subunit aims to develop its members technically through software and artificial intelligence trainings and hackathon competitions held throughout the year. At the same time, it brings members together with engineers working in the software field at companies, providing a close insight into the industry. It is an IEEE ODTÜ subunit focused on both skill development and industry exposure.

Python Training

This is an 8-week introductory coding event using Python, organized by the IEEE ODTÜ Computer Society Coordinators. The training is supported with various assignments and Q&A sessions and is prepared in accordance with the curriculum of the CENG240 course offered by the METU Department of Computer Engineering. This training is mandatory for members who wish to be considered active members of the CS subunit. Members with prior coding knowledge are offered an exemption exam.

Artificial Intelligence Training

This is an introductory training on artificial intelligence and machine learning, organized in collaboration with the METU Artificial Intelligence Community, which will start on March 11, 2025.

Teknofest

Every year, the IEEE ODTÜ Computer Society Technical Subunit participates in Teknofest. This year, it will compete in Teknofest 2025 with a total of 10 teams.
